Podcasts. We all love them. Or, at least, we love to tell everyone we love them—when, in reality, we’re all just lip-syncing to Panjabi MC’s Mundian To Bach Ke on the way to work.

There’s a podcast for just about everything now. Like that guy who talks about the ancient art of stone clearing. (Look it up. Thank us never.)

When it comes to finding a South-Asian-led podcast, things start to get tricky—especially in Australia when there’s an ex-MAFs star launching a poddy every other week.

To save you the trouble of sending out a search party, here are four must-binge podcasts hosted by South Asian Australians that’ll add much-needed flavour to your podcast palette. Think mum’s homecooked Biryani. Think egg hoppers. Think kottu.

1. Uncultured The Podcast 🤷🏾‍♀️

Listen to Kripa Krithivasan’s (@helloitskripa) Uncultured the Podcast (@unculturedpod) as she helps us “figure out why we’ve grown up with so much culture and turned into totally UNCULTURED ADULTS”. Kripa explores everything from dating preferences and arranged marriages to binge-eating and identity crises with incredible guests like Rowi Singh, Maria Thattil, and Dilruk Jayasinha.

2. Stuck In Between 👩🏾‍👦🏾

Hosted by two friends—Romitha Seher (@romiseher) and Senthan Sanchayan (@senthan.sanchayan)—Stuck In Between (@stuckinbetween_podcast) is about “navigating their Western lives and their Eastern roots”. And listening to Romitha and Senthan chat makes you feel as though you’re having a conversation with your own friends. Like Uncultured the Podcast, Stuck In Between has hosted a start-studded lineup of guests, including Indian Matchmaking’s Nadia Jagessar.

3. The Startup Playbook 🦄

Rohit Bhargava’s (@rohit_bhargava) The Startup Playbook (@startupplaybook) is one for the browntrepreneurs. In The Startup Playbook, Rohit Bhargava interviews “successful founders, investors and operators on their journey, lessons and insights to help current and future entrepreneurs”. Listen to Rohit as he melds storytelling with strategic insights from guests like Airtasker’s Tim Fung:

4. Under My Skin by Tamanna 💃

If you’re in Australia, Tamanna (@tamannathelabel) needs no introduction. Tamanna Rafique—founder, fashion designer, and general baddie—is the South Asian Aussie role model we’ve always needed. When she’s not running her brand Tamanna The Label, Tamanna is spilling the chai with relatable and authentic storytelling in her poddy: Under My Skin.
